(bottle, 75cl) Hazy, golden colour with a short and slightly off-white foamy head. Moderately sweet (cara-)malty and slightly bready aroma with a subtle fruity and slightly alcoholic touch. Sweet-bitter flavour, full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Yeasty malty and slightly bready taste with shy fruity hints and herbal hoppy accents; moderately sweet malty finish with a balancing level of bitterness and mildly spicy notes.02.III.11

Bottle: Golden, a bit hazy, stable lacy and creamy off-white head, visible carbonation; sweet-bitter zesty-orangey nose; relatively moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied; sweet zesty-orangey finish with a slightly adstringent tartness in the aftertaste. Quite O.K. .....

Bottle, 75cl corked. It pours an almost clear body, golden in color and topped by a minimal-sized of-white head leavings lacings. Some micro-floaties in the beer. Itβs a bit weak on the nose, some cellar hints, but mostly fruits and sugars. Itβs very alcoholic in the mouth, warming and full-bodied, with a sugar-sweet fruityness. Low on bitterness, and a mostly warming and sweet finish. A nice beer, but too warming for my likings. 100521

Very good & very dense yellow head over amber-orange beer. Serious alcohol nose, fruity, sugar and laurel/bay leaf aromas. Sweet-fruity, human sweat, coriander (? - not much), caramel or toffee, but not syrupy. Warming up, other fruity notes as peach, and some acidity. Quite burning, fiery MF, medium bodied, nearly viscous, alcoholsting. Very fiery strong tripel, a beer that grabs you by the throat. Though seriously more complex than, say, Delirium Tremens, it is comparably agressive, and one of my least favourite De Molen tries. The Amarillo stays closed to me.

Bottle from Kris Wines, London. Shared with Slothez at Wiffyβs. Good looking hazy gold affair with a decent sized off white head. Aroma had some spice and yeast in evidence. Full mouthfeel. Sweet, nicely fruity flavour with a good balance to it aided by the amarillos. Soothing booze hit, with the ABV being fairly well masked. A very well executed Tripel that is well above average for the style.

750 ml corked and wired bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 9.2%. Deep golden to amber colour, slightly hazy, with a decent white (or slightly off-white) head. Very nice spicy aroma, notes of Belgian ale yeast, also some fruity hops. The flavour is pretty far out on the sweet side, with distinct spicy and hoppy notes. The alcohol is noticeable though. Warming mouthfeel. Fairly impressive beer.
