For anyone who finds strawberries irresistible, Timmermans Strawberry evokes the fragrance of long sunny days. Its strawberry flavour will have you wrinkling your nose in delight with each sip. Its luminous colour and its fruity freshness are a treat for taste-buds and eyes alike. A totally juicy experience.

Timmermans Strawberry Lambicus is brewed by adding natural juice to lambic beer, a blend that is then fermented in oak barrels. After which it is bottled.

Taste wise… Its aroma evokes the perfumes of a lovely summer’s day. Its strawberry flavour confirms the nose’s impression, without being over-sweet, and is enhanced by a real feeling of freshness, recalling those tiny green granules that are found around ripened strawberries. Its taste is consistent and spreads very quickly throughout the mouth, finishing on a note that is fruity rather than sweet.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours translucent light red with very small yellow highlights and medium size pink head. Little lacing, creamy texture, medium body, and nice strong strawberry aroma. Taste is sweet strawberry upfront with some tart strawberry in the finish. This is the best strawberry beer I have had, it is sweet, but it is good.

250ml bottle. Dark golden body with a small, slightly pink head. Aroma of synthetic strawberry, other red berries and soma acidity. Flavor is just a mess of synthetic berries and chemical acidity. Don’t taste any good and a lack of balance. Not my cup of strawberry.

Bottle, 25cl. It pours a big, dense, pinkish white head over a golden-orange body with a red hue. Unclear, and leaving lacings. Strawberries and a dash of white sugar on the nose. The flavor is sweet, with strawberry and a touch of sourness. Smooth on the palate. Well, sort of tasteful, at least in small quantities. Not very good though. Rating: 3-4-4-3-7-2.1. 110501

Bottle, 25cl. A lightly reddish, golden beer with a small, off-white head. Sugary, fruity aroma with a good dash of strawberry. Not particularly pleasant but not really bad either. The flavor has a liglty acidity, but it’s mostly berries, blueberry more than strawberry I think, with hints of lemonade and caramel. Medium body, sweet without being sticky. Well, if it wasn’t for the fact that it’s lightly acidic and has some quenching qualities, I would rate this one very low. 110716

Colour is as one can expect. Colour is very syruppy sweet, bit artificial in stead of natural.

Looks like strawberry tea but it could have been worse. Taste is way too sweet as the smell had already indicated. Maybe just maybe on a really hot day it might be nice.

Big pink head. Hazy pale red body. Strong sugary strawberry aroma with perfumy notes. Dry funky perfumy syrupy strawberry taste. Mid-bodied. Mild mouthfeel. Dryish watery strawberry aftertaste with perfumy notes. Not very good; too artificial. (Taster at brewery.)

Bottle. Sweet fresh strawberry and sour malt aroma. Cloudy pink color with minimal head. Sweet fresh strawberry and lightly sour malt flavor. Nice body. Strawberry flavor is very nice - easy drinking if non-traditional beer.

On tap at Hillsborough Hotel, pours reddish orange. Aroma of strawberries and artificial sweetener. Flavour is also of artificially sweet strawberries with a cloying fake sweetness. Too sweet, though drinkable in smaller quantities.

11.2 oz bottle into tulip. Pours a hazy orange with a medium pinkish-white head that collapses in a couple of minutes, leaving a blanket of foam and some lace. Smells very strongly of strawberry candy--those pink Starbursts come to mind; artificial? Also some faint grain in the nose. Taste is tangy-sweet and a bit salty. It’s maybe a bit one-dimensional for a lambic, but it sure tastes good. Carbonation is medium-high, mouthfeel is creamy, body is medium. A tasty brew, but could use more depth.
