Geradeaus und geradean – unser Helles ist kein Trunk für viele Worte, sondern ein ehrliches, direktes Bier. Doch lieber a weng philosophisch? Aber bittesehr: Obendrauf sahnig, untendrunter goldgelb, innendrin mild, feinwürzig und mit einer leichten Süße. Aber schon auch mit einer gewissen Hopfenblume. Und von einer Malzigkeit im Ausklang, die einem sofort Lust aufs nächste Seidla macht.

Mäßig stabile, gemischtporige Schaumkrone, klare goldgelbes Farbe, das helle Malz gibt den Ton, dahinter etwas grasig-blumiger Hopfen, für ein Helles relativ präsente Hopfenbittere, leicht süßlich, natürlich sehr süffig.

Mini keg from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden with a light hint of amber. Nose - bready and just a hint of green herb. Taste - more bread, some caramel this time too. Palate - light bodied, decent drying on the finish. Overall - ok.

Dorada limpia y radiante, buena corona de espuma blanca bien conservada. Aroma fresco y limpio a grano, malta con un ligero toque de pan y galleta. En boca es maltosa, con buen fondo de pan y cereal, buen cuerpo a pesar de su ligereza, sabrosa, terriblemente fácil de beber y más fácil aun de disfrutar. Rica, rica helles

Golden with a white head. Toasted malt forward with a nice peppery backfill. Medium bodied. Mineral and earthy hop notes. A clean and crispy brew. Excellent.

Mahrs Bräu Helles. Õlle on selline jook, et iga uus kord kui klaasi või pudeli suule tõstad, siis leiad midagi uut, sõltuvalt tuhandest-miljonist pisiasjast, mis hetke olukorda mõjutavad. Seega piirdun iga õlle juures selle tekstiga.

Bottle drunk watching Germany play Denmark in the EU cup. Nice dry crisp flavor, traditional hops, good malty backbone. Great Helles one could drink all night.

(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 30 Sep 2023) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with notes of bread, grain, grass, hay and herbal hops. Malty taste with bread, grain, grass, hay and a balanced herbal bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Fresh and tasty helles. Nice one.

One of the better Bavarian helles. Not much head retention on pour. Thin 2mm film. Towards the darker end of golden. Tends away from earthy towards herbal with strong green apple on the nose. Nice grainy and hoppy hit on the back of the mouth and roof. A bit mineral and thin towards the mid range but holds up. Nice, not run of the mill like so much industrial German lager.
