9 June 2019. At 'De Verzekering tegen de Grote Dorst'. Cheers, Anke & Pieter! 37,5cl bottle. Pours hazy orange with a lasting, small, foamy, white head. Aroma of wood, white grape, young cheese, hay, straw, dry grass, leather, old apple, unripe apricot. Taste is medium funky sour, hinting at unripe (yellow) fruit, vinegar, hay, restrainedly lactic but rather cheesy & yeasty, against a dry bitter backbone of straw, wood, grass, leather & grapes, settings some tannins at work here; vague sweetish fruity accent too. Dry, tart, woody finish, faint grassy hops, more straw, grapes, as such some more puckering tannins & an elegant dash of white wine-like alcohol (which I like to call 'sour Jesus wine'). Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Elegant, vinous, dry Geuze.

Classic gueze taste. All around spot on for the style, with all the malty tart flavours and none of the sweetness. Very drinkable. online belgian beer factory bottle

375ml bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck. Pours a misty gold. Aroma has pleasant, inviting floral cheesy barnyard. Taste builds on this, good fruity moments, floral in parts with some cheesy barnyard, white grape. Generally quite well rounded and moderately light with a soft acidity. Pretty good Sunday afternoon geuze.

Bottle. Color: Hazy golden, frothy white head. Aroma: Funky, sourish, vinuous. Taste: Moderate sweet, sour and bitter. Funky wild yeast notes. Vinuous white wine hints, hints of citrus. Pretty smooth, mild, well balanced flavours. Medium body. Nice, mild Geuze.

Golden colour with quick fading head. Aroma has a nice fresh green apple acidity. Flavour is similar but with a light dryness. Not as woody as a regular Boon but lighter. Fresh tartness. Decent stuff.
