Kneel before the Heavy lord.
Remember when we brewed with the three and only, 3 floyds?
The result is here..times 3. Greet Heavy lord, a mash up of their famous Imperial Stout, Dark Lord and our own Imperial Stout, Heavy Water. Aged in fresh Bourbon Barrels for 6 weeks and then infused with Cacao and Vanilla. One part in keg, one part in cask and one part in cask which has been soaked in Guatemalan coffee.

From tap at Borefts 2017. Aroma is intense dark chocolate, Bourbon, chocolate brownie, caramel toffee, mocha, dark fruits, huge chocolate dessert, espresso, notes of marzipan, with a touch of liquorice. Flavour is big sweetness with roasty bitterness in the finish. Heavy full body. Amazing beer, best one I had at Borefts 2017.

Bottled 01-05-2018, 14%. Appearance is midnight black, a few tan bubbles but no head really. Aroma is lots of bourbon, whisky, scorched malt, tar, tobacco smoke hints, vanilla, treacle, fudge, freshly-laid tarmac, lots of booze, rich chocolate cake, smoky toffee, leathery malt. Taste is smooth sweet chocolate, sticky dates, rich Christmas cake/chocolate cake hybrid, boozy chocolate sauce, sweet vanilla, bourbon, whisky fudge, very smooth and oily in the mouth. Very sweet, but very tasty. Excellent.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Mostly black. Slim halo of tan head. Nicely leggy. Nose has woody vanilla. Booze steeped fruit. Fudgy chocolate. Nutty toffee. Some treacle and maple syrup. Some cookie dough. Smells fantastic. Taste is sweet and super sticky, fudgy vine fruits. Nice balance of boozy, woody bitterness. Smooth and rich on the palate. Full body. Fine carbonation. Long, fudgy, treacly bitterness to finish. Stupid easy drinking. Delicious.
