Bottiglia. Un arco olfattivo dominato dallo speziato. La finezza olfattiva è normale e la maniera in cui permane. Il cappello di schiuma cremosa ha una buona tenuta e termina con merletti sul bordo del bicchiere. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana fine. Il liquido si presenta velato e anche qui la grandezza delle bollicine è fine, con carbonazione persistente. Il colore è giallo dorato carico. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è carico e c'è anche una componente moderatamente acidula. La forza gustativa è elevata e la durata è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. In bocca l'aroma è quello di miele, frutta secca, un accenno di resinoso quasi balsamico, agrumi, spezie, affumicato e arancia amara.

Bottled 330ml. -at Osteria dell'Orsa Bologna. Unclear golden coloured, medium sized white head, fruity yeasty nose. Sweetish malty, fruity, light spicy and yeasty with bitterish finish.

Cask at Ranzani 13, Bologna, Italy. Pours pale blonde, pretty hazy, with a persistent small head of white foam, very fine. Aroma is lemongrass, a little spiced. Body is average, like carbonation. Taste is moderately sweet, with delicate bitterness and a tiny hint of sour. Finish is short and clean.

Draft glass @ “Italian Beer Week-end #6 - Ranzani 13 Édition” CML Fontainas. Hazy bright orange golden, creamy white head. Nose is massive soap plus grain, overly sweet. Taste is overly sweet overly bit soap, grain, bread, sugar. Body is soapy grain. Far too much soap in here, nope.

Tap at Moeder Fontainas. Hazy light golden with white head. Quite some spicy yeast, dough, soft weeds, lemon peel, lemon balm. Quite some herbs and fruits. Under medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied.

500ml bottle at home courtesy of Saeglopur, many thanks. yellow cloudy color. medium big white head. smells citric, acidic, fruity, soapy, yeasty, spices. medium body, very bubbly carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes citric, acidic, grass, yeast, spices, fruits, a bit soapy. finishes dry with acidic and soap notes. quite decent, taste has both a bit too much carbonation and soap notes. overall nice though.

500 ml bottle from il Pretesto Beershop, Bologna.
Pale orange, cloudy body, with a big, frothy, white head.
Aroma of lemongrass, apples, pears, slight barnyard, spices, sweet bread, yeast.
Tastes of citrus, lemongrass, red apples, pears, some banana, yeast, bread, spices, slight vanilla.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a quite lively carbonation.
Finishes quite dry, yeasty, sweet-sour fruity, bready.
Tasty. A very satisfying, fresh Saison. Especially the taste has a great balance between drinkability and complexity. Very good example of this style.

Draft sample @ Fiera della Birra, Cesena ’14. Dorée trouble paille, col fin blanc. Arôme est fruité rappelant pas mal les agrumes, malté moyen sur un caractère rustique très belge et une petite touche levure laissant qcq notes lactique. Palais garde une levure finement aigrelette, petit côté rustique pour une petite touche poivrée. Possible agrumes - Pompia qui offre ce profil amer, citronnelle avec une pointe tournant vers le fumé très subtil. Saison à l’italienne, et un changement du caractère belge.
