In California, where temperatures often top triple digits, perfecting the warm weather beer is a priority. We happened upon a sweet-tangy blend of native-grown prickly pear cactus and grapefruit combined with the zing of a traditional gose for a vicious but delicious twist on the stodgy summer sippers.

Otra Vez is a tangy twist on the nearly extinct gose style. It combines the zip of prickly pear cactus with a hint of grapefruit for a bright and refreshing finish.

Poured a slightly cloudy gold. Salty gose & lemons with a fair amount of sweet catcusy flavers and grapefruit. Really quite good.

Bottle. What a weird but not bad, beer. It poured a hazy, goldish color with a medium head that quickly disappeared. Aroma was sour, slightly lemony, slightly some other kind of fruit that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Taste was slightly sour, citrus fruit with hints of a yeasty kind of aftertaste, I can see this one being better on a hot humid day.

Bottle @ Fox and Hounds, Sønderborg. Slightly unclear golden body with a small white head. Nice mild acidic aroma with lemon, minerals and yogurt. Flavor is refreshing, quite classic Gose, acidic fruit, lemon, minerals etc. Medium body and refreshing aftertaste. Nothing extraordinary but still a nice one.

Draught@SBWF2018. Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is cactus, citrus, some floral and fruity tones with a big crisp- and freshness. Flavour is citrus lager with some cactus and mild grapefruity tones. A bit Mexican Lager like but more fresh.

True to base style. The lime pops big time, makes it more of a fizzy soda-like beer. But it’s high on the salt meter, medium on the sourness. Online beerwulf

0,355 l can. Pours hazy yellow with big, very quickly diminishing white head. Aroma of citruses, agave, oppuncia and lime. Refreshing taste of citruses and bit of lactic acid, quite on the sweet side. Body is medium to light. Finish is dry, bit bitter. Quite similar to soda beverages. Could offer more.

0.355 l bottle from 'Rudat', bottled in June 2016. Slightly hazy, golden yellow with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sourish-fruity aroma lemon, prickly pear, grapefruit and wheat. Moderately sour, quite fruity taste of lemon, rhubarb, wheat, grapefruit, coriander and some prickly pear, followed by a short, moderately tart, minerally and minimally bitter finish. Thin to medium body, smooth, just slightly astringent and a bit effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tasty, soft, superbly balanced Gose with a nice, fruity touch.

Tap at Watering Hole. Nice. Light, bit of saltiness, light sourness, a regular gose I guess. Slight aroma of cucumber, but think it's all in my mind. Maybe can get the prickly pear thing too, but it's all quite light.
