Imperial Porter with Coffee & Vanilla.
Our Victory at Sea Imperial Porter is a bold, smooth brew with just the right amount of sweetness. We infused this robust porter with whole vanilla beans and San Diego’s own Café Calabria coffee beans. The subtle roasted notes and minimal acidity of the cold brewed coffee, balances perfectly with the sweet caramel undertones of the malt, creating a winning combination for your palate.

22 fl oz bottle, bought at the brewery. My 100th US beer on RB. Nearly black, only reddish edges. More than one finger beige head. Strong coffee on the nose. Taste starts also with strong coffee. In the middle part some low sweetness, little bit vanilla. Increasing alcoholic. Malt in the background. Warming. Strong stuff.

Bot. First I hesitated at 12 midnight to drink this then I blew the cork. Big black gentle pour. First taste evolves to be quite rude nasty bitter and volatile. Yes, it’s a masterpiece alright, a big in yer face masterpiece of a high alky ass kicking boozy beer. Its a blowhard black beer. Reminds me in many respects to a boozy high alky black ipa, yeah. Same with finish, perhaps this would age well. Yeash a little aging may round out this bullshit imperial black ipa bullshit...... oh, I almost forgot, since its such a dizzying beer, there’s coffee in thar 2! heheheh

dark brown, coffee-like colour, medium sized creamy beige-brown head; aroma of milk chocolate, coffee, vanilla, some liqueur, maybe herbal notes, too; taste is the same with slight roasted bitter dominance over the vanilla and chocolate; amazing imperial porter!
