Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Black with a dark brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, coffee, cocoa, vanilla, wood and light rum. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with a little warming alcohol. Oily and smooth. 240616

750ml bottle pours with a deep dark void where a swirl brings up glass staining sheets of beer. The dark mocha colored head hung around for a bit. The aroma offers up molasses infused dark chocolate and oily rich coffee notes with soft smooth vague barrel notes roaming around in the background. The taste is crazy where nectar sweet malts blend in and out of dark roasted malts, dark roasted coffee and velvety dark chocolate. Wow. This is such a rich succulent treat where soft smooth barrel booze hits here and there creating another tasty facet to the experience. This comes together wonderfully.

Much thanks to Kermis! 750 ml. bottle sampled. This is not beer, this is everything that love about desert in a glass, pretty much sheer perfection! Pour black with a very dark mocha / chocolate mousse. Nose is massive pralines, amazing thick sweet chocolate mousse, sweet coffee beans, sweet chocolate. This is basically incredible thick pralines with amazing coffee beans layered on top. Taste is similar very sweet pralines, mocha, chocolate mousse, vanilla, sweet coffee beans with only a small touch of roast from coffee beans, vanilla, warming, even more pralines, light warming complimentary touch, thick chocolate syrup, people called it boozy but it wasn’t for me,…. Thick amazing viscous body, chocolate syrup. So much amazing pralines, light coffee beans, amazing integrated barrel, sugar,… So much pralines, so good.

750 ml bottle thanks to AdamChandler. Had side by side with the standard version. Thick full tan head sitting on a pick black head that just coats the glass. Perfect presentation. Aroma shows light sugar, deep roasted coffee bean, mild roast, and dark chocolate. Dessert in a glass!
The flavor is just thick and dark. Full, dense mouthfeel. About as thick of a stout as I have ever had. My god! The creamy feel is intense. The rum is not really noticeable in the flavor but it did cut through some of the bitter espresso bean that is found in the original version. The ABV is not even noticeable. Thanks for sharing Adam, what a treat!

750ML Bottle, 6 ounce pour. Split a few ways but I couldn’t help take a huge pour on this one.
A - This is possibly the darkest stout I’ve ever had. Pitch black, zero light transfer. Not only that, a 4 finger black head that fades over the course of like 5 minutes. Looks like melted ice cream.
S - Smells very good. A lot like vanilla ice cream and the rum is for sure very apparent and a nice compliment to the sweet dessert like base beer but I don’t get as much coffee aroma.
T - Sweeter than the base, rum starts in the middle and lingers and the roasted qualities of the base are very subdued. In fact, there’s not an overwhelming coffee taste anymore. More light and less acidic. Vanilla is still very apparent. The rum adds a lot of depth
M - Dense, thick, a lot of carbonation.
O - This is a fantastic Imperial Stout. Wow.
