Bottle from Biernavigatie. Aroma is roasted malt, smoke, peat, charcoal, liquorice. Flavour is medium sweet and above moderate bitter. Body is medium, bit weak considering the style and abv. Could have used some carbonation also. Not bad, has a good smokey peaty aroma, would have greatly benefitted from a fuller body and some carbonation though.

Bottle. Almost black. Malt and peat in the rather simple striaghtforward aroma. Full bodied. Malty sweetish, soft, peaty, caramelly roasty flavor. Very low on carbon. Rather simple, but likeable.

Süß-Röstiger, moderat würziger Antrunk. Leicht würzig-bitterer Mittelteil, vollmundig, Schokolade, etwas kräutrig, langer Nachhall. Gut. 10/10/11/11//11

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle from 'Speciaalbierpakket.nl', bottled in November 2016. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty and a little smoky aroma of dark chocolate, licorice, tar and some peat. Medium sweet, malty, slightly roasty and a little smoky taste of dark chocolate, licorice, tar and some coffee, followed by a medium long, rather roasty-bitter, earthy-dry finish with a touch of peat. Medium to full body, slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Bottle. Color: Almost black, very thin light brown head. Taste: Roasted malt, earthy, hints of espresso and dark chocolate, notes of peat mainly in the long lasting bittery finish. Balance between sweet and bitter. Low carbonation. Medium body, I expected more for an imperial stout. Overall not bad, but no top beer in my opinion.

Bottle @ home shared with Marte. Black color, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, roasted malts, some peat, a bit sweet surprisingly and some liquorice. Well, I don’t dislike this actually, even though it has some peat in it. Not bad at all.

On tap at Bierlokaal de Uiver. Black colour, thin beige head. Aroma of dung, roasted malts, tobacco, brown malts, some peat/iodine, doesn’t smell great tbh. Flavour is medium sweet, roasted malts, hint of peat, liquorice, some candy sweetness, quite dry, tobacco, bitter finish. Medium bodied. Could’ve been so much more.
