Bottle, 1000th rating in 2017 - so many thanks to all my friends on and off ratebeer who?ve shared beer with me! Ruby color with small white ring. Aroma is cherries, breakfast honey, violets, flowery, just a bit of hops. Taste is cherries, honey, flowery again, a bit almond, a touch of earthy hops, some green apple. Low carbonation, full mouthfeel, super-balanced with its 6%, again green apple aftertaste. This really is a Kriek Mead - awesome (but I?m not sure if it needs the hops)!

Short-lived pinkish foam; deep cardinal-red liquid. Sour cherries nose, flowery, blossoms, bit lactic acid aroma. Sourish-sweet, cherries. Balance at first outstanding, also thanks to a bit of CO², later swinging towards the sweet side. Bit of four fruit jam, but also real fruit-based. Honey is subdued, in comparison. Medium bodied, very low carbonation. Aftertaste has a soft impression of green apple. Far from bad!! Kriek-mead, great idea!

TST/TWAT. Sampled from bottle at svartvit’s. Red with thin white head. Big sweet floral, soapy, cherries, rosemary. Sweet red fruit, very dry. Medium sweet, dry almond nutty bitterness. Bottle shared at The Sweetest Tasting. Clear beautiful ruby red with fizzy pink head. Flowery and soapy on the nose. Potpourri, cherries, light almonds, honey, flowers. It’s just lots of fresh sweet cherries with flowery soap. Medium sweet and light sour. Light bodied. The soap doesn’t help at all, but I love the cherries in here. Nice color too!

Bouteille 50cl, batch# 591 09 16. Acajou foncé noire quasi le contrepartie des cerises, pas de col, qcq bulles percent la surface. Arôme fruité et délicat mielleux, retrouve bien ce côté de cerise Balaton, rétro fleuri et finemetn houblonné. Palais est sur une belle alternance entre douceur mielleuse et touche ’tart’ des cerises. La pétillance est moyenne avec un fini légèrement râpeux. L’ajout de houblons confère un fini citronnée, fleuri laissant et une petite touche mentholé voire de sureau. Fini garde ce caractère doux, cerise avec fine note citrique tart.

At a festival. I liked this. Dark red color. rich, heavy palate. lots of cherry in the aroma and the flavor. it is sweet, some honey flavor, and it is heavy and full on the palate. I really like the cherry flavor here.

Tap at BeerTemple, 16th February 17. Pours a reddish colour. Aroma is sweet and sour. Taste is sour cherry, sweet honey, floral. Nice stuff
