Bottle split at the last minute CBJ Tasting (big thanks Marcin for hosting), thanks to Kenny for this one, 13/07/23. Black with a tan cap that thins edgewards. Nose is charr, light roast, herb, umami, molasses, soy sauce, cocoa nibs. Taste comprises earthy roast, dark malts, chocolate, more soy effect, herb, spice, dried fruit rinds, roasted bite. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a spike of alcohol. Passable sipper, rather simplistic and lacking depth for such a high boost offering.

Bottle shared in CBJ. Cheers to Kenny. Pours deep brown with a small, creamy tan head. Medium sweet flavour, ample dry burnt wood, earth, booze, leather. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish, more beaten leather, scorched earth, ash, woody dryness. So so.

Not the L6 bottleshare. Thanks to me. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Light smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Mellow chocolate malts, light, a little aged caramel. Very modest berry fruits on the back end. Drinks very easy for its abv, otherwise unremarkable. Think this was better when it came out.

Bottle at home from DeBierkonig, bottled about 5 years ago, 16th November 19. Pours a black beer, just a rim of head. Aroma is dark fruit, cognac, barrel. Taste is deep and intense, Sherry, barrel, liquor and liquorice, booze soaked dark fruit. It’s a heavy hitter, it has a bitter fruity finish, never too sweet and well balanced. Great sipper

Geproefd samen met Roelzie. Het is een zwart bier met een dunne lichtbruine schuimkraag. het heeft een gebrande, wat dropachtige smaak.
