An intense, rich and luxurious stout, using six different grains (Maris Otter, Munich, Brown, Black & Chocolate malted barley; and rolled oats) to create a decadent complexity in malt profile, texture and balance.

Bottle from Ales by Mail. Pours black with an attractive thick tan head. Strong coffee and chocolate aromas. Taste is just coffee though, very roasted bitter. Too bitter for my taste.

9.5% - Black with thin creamy head. Aroma and flavour have a touch of fresh wood and raw alcohol. This overpowers the more subtle bittersweet roasted malts and chocolate. Aftertaste is really nice.

Thanks for sharing Kraddel + tderoeck +Friends. Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ Vini, Birre, Ribelli 2017. Black, little tanned head. Nose is some vanilla sweetness, mocha, bitter chocolate ice cream. Taste is more bitterness than in the nose, bitter cacao nits but still some vanilla, sugar, chocolate ice cream. Nice one, liked it more than the others that I have tried so far from the 08 series.
