Ermitage's session IPA, tasted from tap at their premises. Irregularly shaped, egg-white, moussy head over a hazy yolk-yellow beer with warmer peachy hue. Aroma of dried lemon peel, tulips, mango juice, soap, some light dank onion, dough, white pepper. Fruity onset in a cleanish way, lively pineapple and starfruit notes with a pomelo-like citrus fraîcheur to it, fizzy carb but acceptable for the intended style, soft doughy malt soil, fuller than expected from a 4.5% ABV beer; mild yet long and spicy hop bitter ending, retronasal grapefruit, lime and some onion, zesty and elegant. Classy example of this style, exemplary like so many of this inspired and ultramodern craft brewery's creations.

Draft @ Ermitage Taproom, post-Quintessence 2018. Dorée, léger paille trouble, col blanc. Arôme au bouquet IPA classique, le tout sur de belles effluves d'agrumes tirant vers un léger pamplemousse et fin herbacé en rétro-nasal. Caractère grains malté demeure sur le fin. Palais est classique, belles notes herbacés, c-hops?, léger résineux et agrumes rappelant le pamplemousse, thé vert avec une base se rapprochant de La Lanterne. Petite touche de levure résiduelle sur la fin avec une petite pointe de poudre d'oignon qui revient à la charge.

Tap. Hazy yellow color with white head. Aroma is fresh grassy, biscuity, a bit grainy. Taste is grassy, bitter, biscuity, some pines, wheat, milky. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Good Session IPA!

8 3 7 3 16 Draft L’Ermitage. Very hazy golden blond with a white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, peach, lychee and a light funk. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap at the brewpub. Murky light golden with white head. Pineapple, dank weeds, quite grassy, more dankness, light passion fruits, wheat, soft oats. Light sweet and medium bitter. Just medium bodied with dry finish. Great!
