A delightful braggot made from 2/3 honey and 1/3 dark barley malt wort, fermented with wine and beer yeasts. An invitingly honeyed and portwine like introduction is followed by an explosion of caramel sweetness on the tongue, that is balanced only by hints of roasted malt bitterness and strong alcohol backbone. With a mesmerizing plum fruitiness in the aftertaste.

From tap. Pours clear and golden amber with a small off white ead. Aroma is fruity and toasted malty finish.smooth fruity, sweet and toasted malty finish. Lingering fruit finish.

van tap @Borefts 2016, helder en donker amber/bruin met rode gloed en licht kaki kraag. aroma van mout en caramel, smaken zijn redelijk tot stevig zoet, caramel, graan, alcoholisch, licht zuurtje, lichte geroosterde mout, lichte honing, hop, redelijke body.

Poured from tap, 14.2 % abv, at Bryggerifestivalen Trondheim 2016. Shared with Finn and bergstaden. Deep mahogany coloured body. Bubbly ring to the rim of the surface. Sweet nose of honeyed fruit. Herbal fruity flavours on a backbone of honey sweetness. Decent sipper without being sticky sweet in the mouth (05.08.2016).

Draft sample @ TCBW ’16. Couleur caramel, col fin beige. Arôme offre un agréable bouquet mielleux, s’apparentant à un léger hydromel effervescent - braggot. Retrouve un bouquet simple et directe donnant une impression très fraiche d’essaim. Pointe de citronné en rétro. Palais est doux avec une fine pointe de pétillant. Le mielleux est organique et frais dans la sensation procurée en bouche. Petit profil ’cloying’ avec un fini fleuri qui balance un peu la douceur. Le tout reste facile en approche étant donné son faible taux d’alcool. La fin conserve une pointe de malt d’orge qui est parfait avec l’usage léger du miel.
