Bottle@Beer Hunters, Pori. 2012 Vintage. Pitch black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is dried fruits, some boubon, mild vanilla as well as some slight alcohol and toffee. Flavour is sweet malts, toffee, alcohol, some roasted tones with mild vanilla and wood to it. Good sipper and very tasty.

650ml bottle. Jet black colour with slightly late awakening, small, creamy, moderately lasting, minimalyl lacing, dark beige head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty, minimally yeasty spicy, slightly woody aroma, notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, a touch of marmite, some Bourbon. Taste is sweet-ish, chocolately and caramel malty, minimally alcoholic, notes of dark chocolate, caramel, dark caramel, some Bourbon, a touch of vanilla, weak fruity overtones; minimally warming, alcoholic texture. Creamy to viscous texture, smooth, soft and silky palate, fine, soft, creamy carbonation. Very homogeneous, smooth, balanced - good.

Backlog. 2012 Bottle from SB. Black with no head. Slightly woody with big chocolate, bourbon, vanilla and some light herbal nots. Dill chips. Velvety smooth.

Back log. 22oz bottle 2011 vintage pours black top with a tan ring of a head. Nose is Rich malt vanilla bourbon some Barrel and coffee. Taste is more of the coffee Bourbon Barrel notes chocolate vanilla. Very good

Bottle (2012) side by side with 2012 Elijah craigh 12y Pours black, no real head. Smell is grainy bourbon. Taste is more subtile than the 12y. much vanilla, oak, bit sweet. very nice. MUCH better than the 12y

Bottle shared at Cotteridge convention 05/03/2016. Many thanks to the Osprey. A dark brown coloured pour with a lasting light tan head. Aroma is brown sugars, vanilla, spicy bourbon, smooth oak. Flavour is composed of full on dark choc, toasteed cocout, bounty bar, smoothy bourbon and oak. Slightly tangy in the finish. Palate is full and viscous, moderate carbonation, . Lingering toasted coconut. Really nice.

Comparative tasting of 9 different Eclipse Stout variants. All beers small to rather good yellow-beige rim over jet-black beer Overpowering nose of Bourbon, vanilla, alcohol & esters, benzene, spirit, green grapes. Sweet Bourbon flaovur, Belgian chocolates, chocolatesweets. Serious alcoholwarming, sticky, full bodied, creamy MF. A tad sweet to my taste. Thanks to M & L for bringing this one along !

Bottle. Cotteridge Beano v2. Dark brown. Tan head. Rich chocolate. Chocolate cherry. Smooth, rich and boozy. Big hitter this one, and one of my favourites on the day.
