[bron: wikipedia]

Bottle at ZBF, Sint-Niklaas, Belgium: This great idea take Tripel and a Gueuze and combined and you got this one, hazy orange fruity taste with gueuze taste at the background.

Bottle at home. Slightly cloudy blonde colour, small white head. Aroma lots of tripel, Belgian yeasty, gueuze funk, bit boozy. Taste is sweet tripel, with just a touch of sourness in the background. Think age has dimmed the gueuze element. Left this too late, but have had it before so can remember. Fair bit of fruit, apricot, quite full bodied. Bit like a tripel with a slight sourness. Maybe past its best, so a bit harsh.

Bottle. Blonde with a dash of orange. Grapefruit and a hint of wood in the soft gueuze-like aroma. Lemon, malt and flowery hops and a hint of leather in the flavor. The gueuze is more prominent as the tripel flavors. It is a good mix, deceptively drinkable. Liked it very much.

On tap at Ebenezer’s Hazy light golden color with a smallish white head. Slightly tart with a solid honey and light sugary malt base. This blend is interesting and it works quite well for my tastes.

Draft pour at Brouwers Cafe as part of the sour fest. Pours a cloudy, apple juice like color. Not nearly as sour as expected. More sweet and fruity. Apple flavor with a grainy finish. Very tasty though, refreshing, and easy drinking. Semi dry, fruity finish. Good beer.

Draft at Klooster. Pours hazy golden orange with a white head. Aroma of caramel, citrus, dank cellar funk and fruits. Flavor is light moderate sweet, acidic and bitter. Medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation. A weird sour triple.

Blend of Vicaris Tripel with the (filtered white-label) Girardin Gueuze, golden blonde with malt sweet an fruity flavours of the tripel nicely balanced against the esters and tartness of the lambic. Interesting find, won the consumer’s prize at Zythos Bierfestival 2007, but I would not go as far as to call this the beginning of a new beer type, blends of ales with lambics are an old Brabant tradition. Very refreshing though, both basic beers are mixed cleverly and support one another very well.

4oz pour at Max’s Belgian Fest. Pours a hazy orange with some thin white head. Nose is really nice, bitter greens, dandelion, classic geuze, brett, horsebarn, lemon rind. Flavor is really solid too, grapefruit rind, dandelion greens, flower petals, some light candy sugar. Medium bodied, tart finish. Very nice.

bottle @ kulminator pours blonde, big white steady foam in the scent some sopurness, but in a weird, background way. taste is way to much carbo, sweetness from the tripel, not realy sour, but more like a tripel, made more intresting . failrly dry , somewhat harsh in drinkability. an OK beer, but yet it is special.
