Flesje gedronken tijdens feestje. Goudgeel troebel bier met weinig schuim. Aroma en smaak is fruitig. Smaak is meteen weg. Meer limonade dan bier.

Another variation on the Bavaria Radler theme, this one with lemon. Thin but stable, lacing, off-white head, colour a deep yellow ’egg yolk’ blonde with greenish hue, completely clouded and looking a lot like your standard witbier. Aroma of lemon candy (Napoleon Bonbons!), Fanta Lemon, chalky and citrus-flavoured children’s medicine like the other Bavaria Radlers, lemon juice air freshener, but ’beer’ is nowhere to be found except in a very weak graininess piercing through the lemonade domination a bit when warming up. Very spritzy soda pop onset of lemonade in the most literal sense of the word, artificial citrus, a bit sharper and more ’acidic’ than the grapefruit version but still all very sweet and artificial, carbo drying the tongue a bit, sugar sticking to it, with a very light mouthfeel and strong lemonade effect all the way through, refusing to release anything ’beery’; as in the other Bavaria Radlers (be it alcoholic or not), a whiff of chemical wryness appears in the end, a bit aspirin-like, but in this case the effect remains too volatile to really disturb. In that sense and because this seems a bit less cloying and more refreshing than the others, this version to me seems the least off-putting one. But the almost complete absence of anything truly ’beery’ makes this hard to judge - I can only compare with other industrial Radlers I had, and this one for me goes down more easily than the others made by Bavaria.

300 ml. bottle (bastards!) @ home. Purchased from Albert Heijn. Hazy lemonade lemon yellow, head fizzes away. Nose is very chemical lemon with some artificial / dash real lemon juice sourness, sour chemicals, artificial but not bad. Taste is a bit bland powdery lemon lemonade, lemon drops, dash washing powder, paper, chemicals, dash bland,… Rather empty, cheap lemonade body. Cheap acceptable generic discount lemonade, touch brand, drinkable but there are definitely better lemonades out there.

De eerste slok is ff schrikken. Rivella achtig, met een boel gember ook, lijkt wel. Best lekkere limonade! Backlog from 2015/03/17.

Can from Albert Heijn Amsterdam drunk on a park bench. Certainly lemony. It’s a refreshing shandy. Not much of a beer but on a hot day straight out of the fridge you could chug this. Oddly drinkable
