From tap at DAVO, Deventer. Aroma is sweet malt, caramel, raisins, yeast, notes of candy sugar, with very soft notes of cocoa and a hint of coffee. Flavour is sweet and mild bitter. Body is medium. Decent Abbey Dubbel, not a bad example of the style.

Dark brown with a frothy, light beige head. Aroma of caramel, raisins, chocolate cake. Taste is bittersweet with a herbal bitterness accompanying a big, sweet, malty base. Body to the full side of medium, moderate carbonation, chewy. Nicely balanced. Pleasant!

(bottle 0,33l from topvino.cz online shop) Overall: Nice Belgian stout (or Stout Dubbel Hybrid as label says). Pleasant fruits-chocolate-spicy combination. Aroma: Dark fruits, chocolate, caramel, spicy. Appearance: Clear dark brown color. Medium pale brown head. Taste: Medium sweet, malt, chocolate, caramel, dark fruits, light alcohol, light roasted malt. Palate: Medium body. Light roasty-dry finish.

Bottle. Dark brown/black with a very small beige head. Aroma of yeast, malts, raisins, figs, dried fruits and some cherries as well. Taste of (roasted) malts, caramel, toffee, dark chocolate, coffee and dried fruits. Distinctive herbal bitterness. Low carbonation. Balanced. This works really well: A Dubbel at first that morphs into a Stout only to be later reborn as a Dubbel again. Nice one.

11 April 2022. At Volkshotel, Amsterdam. Cheers to the Teamleader crew!
Hazy dark brown, thin, foamy, tan head. Aroma of date, raisin, caramel, brown bread, syrup, prune, liqueur, vague toast. Taste has sweet date, raisin & plum in a caramelly malt body, bit toasty, herbal, spicy. Herbal hoppy finish with mocha note, dried fruit and spices, warming brandy-like alcohol. Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation. Not very refined but a pleasant sticky sipper.

Nice body, cold it’s more stout-like. As it warms it becomes more dubbel-like. Really cool beer. Light body, balanced, super drinkable. Bierkonig Amsterdam

33cl Fles van Landmarkt/Ranzijn. Ze noemen het zelf een stout/dubbel maar dit is gewoon een hele simpele dubbel. Redelijk zoet, iets gebrand, fruitig, saai.
