75cl Bottle from De Bierkoning at a hefty €17,-. Black colour, thick beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, burnt malts, some chocolate, green apples (wtf De Molen, that’s 3 in a row), some booze but just the tiniest hint. Flavour is ashy, roasted malts, some coffee, chocolate, green apples, booze, no real bourbon flavours IMHO. Medium bodied at best, soft creamy mouthfeel. Nowhere near previous editions, or the old H&V from before the expansion. It’s OK, but at such a premium price, I expect way more.
