Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 18D). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 0305. AROMA: mild sweet background with some straw aromas. no fruity esters perceptible. there is a strong honey like aroma present. no hop aromas. APPEARANCE: medium gold color with a bit haziness. thin ivory head with poor retention. poor lacing. TASTE: sweet background with a sugary flavour reminiscent of honey. some fruity esters and some straw. low bitterness and finishes sweet. mild hot alcohol character. PALATE: medium-low body with low carbonation. OVERALL: a sweet version of a belgian golden strong ale without the esters complexity.

Hazy orange colour with a white head that quickly diminishes. Aroma has notes of caramel, yeast and swee tnotes of plumbcake. Flavor is slightly sweet at the beginning with good maltiness, yeasty and caramelish notes. The final is moderate sweet with a light bitterness, creamy and dense on palate with caramel notes in the aftertaste.
