Bière 33 cl. Jolie robe noire. Nez sur la noix de coco et le cacao, très agréable. Bouche aux notes torréfiées, toujours de la noix de coco en fin de bouche, une bière réussie et fidèle à sa description.

33cl Bottle. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of coconut, vanilla, chocolate, soft roast. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, caramel, coconut, dark chocolate, roasted malts, sweet coffee, bitter finish. Medium bodied, great mouthfeel for such a low ABV. Very good.

Fles gedeelt met Roelzie1986. Het is een diep donkerbruin tot zwart bier met een beige schuim. Het heeft een cocos achtige geur. De smaak is melkachtig, cocos en chocolade.

Beery Christmas #19. Pours almost black with quite a think head. Aroma is dark malts and intense coconut, without seeming artificial or over the top. Chocolate also there but more subdued. Light-medium body. Flavour is balanced in a lovely way with surprising layers of flavours. Nice malt backbone providing coffee and chocolate, with the latter being very prominent. Milk chocolate yes, but mostly because I knew it was added. Coconut not as intense as in aroma but still prominent. Finish is light and bittersweet, with mostly chocolate. Lovely porter. I was expecting something good seeing this is from thornbridge but this went beyond my expectations. Well done. A nearly perfect everyday winter porter.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear black with a burgundy red hue and a smallish, off-white head. Sweet cocoa and coconut in the aroma. Medium body, very smooth, the roast is light and really just a carpet upon which the coconut can unfold – and so it does gracefully. Perfect integration between roast and coconut.
