On tap at Griffin Claw, pours jet black with a small dark brown head. Aroma brings out chocolate, caramel and some earthy coffee. Flavour is robust, with lots of earthy cocoa, some coffee, and a bit of fruity tartness that I'm not sure is intentional. Still, quite complex and a nice interplay of different elements. Very good.

On tap at the stadsbrouwhuis. Needs to warm up quite a bit. Quite rich, dark malts, chocolate and licorice. Nice sweetness, something slightly acidic there too. Hints of coffee. Smooth, lacks something to distinguish itself. Good.

Can shared in London - cheers to Colin. Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. Moderately sweet, with notes of burnt toffee, earth, brownies. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly balanced finish, more tasty brownies, relaxed bitterness. Fun one.

Level 6 bottleshare. Thanks to Cloin for the can. Semi opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth and semi dry palate, decent fine carbonation. Smooth but thin dark malts, bitter dark chocolate. Tangy dark fruits. Bitterish finish. Not bad but a bit thin and bitterish.

Creamy light brown coloured head left a froth on a near black stil body. Roasted, malt & caramel aroma. Medium bodied, sharp on the front with a clean dry finish. Malt, lactose, dark sugar, chocolate & nutty tastes.
