“Glaciale” is an Imperial IPA style beer, with the addition of organic honey. It has a dark amber color and a beige fine and persistent foam. The scent is complex with herbaceous and balsamic notes, clear hints of citrus and mandarin wood . The flavour is immediatly soft, with honeyed notes that hide an important bitterness, given by the hops of overseas and the new generation continental hops. It’s an elegant beer with a strong note of bitterness.

Mild hopfiger Beginn. Geringe Süße, eher brotig, enttäuschend schwach hopfig. Die Intensität bleibt auch im weiteren Verlauf schwach, trocken, kurzer Abgang. 9/5/6/6/9/6

On tap at L’Ementale Travestere, pours a clear copper with a medium beige head. Aroma has fermented out honey, bitter resinous hops, and bready malt. Flavour is surprisingly dry, with bready malt, bitter resinous hops, and fermented out honey. Despite how malty it is, it’s dry and bitter. Good stuff.

Pours gold with a solid head. Aroma is sweet, honey, English hops, floral and grassy, herbal and some pine. Medium body. Flavour is sweet and the honey is noticeable. Floral and grassy hops, somewhat herbal, some pine. Medium bitterness. Some orange and lemon notes. Finish is bittersweet and the honey lingers for a long time. If one likes English hops like I do (at least the flavours associated with them) this is a nice imperial IPA.
