473 ml can. Nitro. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tannish foamy head. Aromas of creamy roasted malts, nuts, and lactose. Flavors follow same. Watery for a nitro beer and not as creamy as I expected. Meh.

Roast and cream with some nut. Not bad, and perhaps a little underrated. Pours black with good mocha head and lacing. Sharp bitter end. Oatmeal. Tap at brewery.

Bottle - Light roast and some chocolate. Jet black brown with a light brown head, roasty notes again with a touch of chocolate. Not as interesting or rich as an oatmeal stout could be but OK.

65cl Bottle brought from Canada, thank’s H&T! Black colour, creamy beige head. Aroma of cold coffee and cream, coffee creamer, roasted malts, hint of metal. Flavour is dry, cold coffee and cream, quite milky but without the sweetness, hint of chocolate, dry bitter finish, a bit fizzy. Light-bodied, watery. Not great. Wouldn’t classify this as a sweet stout though.

Jet black body and dark brown head. Simple aroma of roasted barley. Taste is a sour stout, not sweet at all and with a bitter finish. Not my kind of stout; I prefer the sweeter and more complex ones. Some might find this highly drinkable, I found it just barely.

Draught at Amberjack Tap House, Surrey, BC
The color is almost black; the head is brownish. Light aroma, burnt paper and roasted malt. Very dry mouthfeel, with harsh roasted malt flavor, weak body. Correct bitterness, all from the black malt. Monodimensional, and not the dimension I prefer.

Bottled, from Kimberley, BC. Black, small head. Smokey cocoa aroma. Dry and clean with fairy light body. Interesting flavours of smoke and coffee, but a bit sharp in the mouth.

Black, small tan head.Salty, lightly roasted nose.Lightly roasted profile, mocha mid, medium bitterness in finish. Tinny overtones that amplify as it warms. Thin and underflavored. Not a good effort. Tap version slighlty better has no tinny overtones.6-3-5-2-12
