Pour this medium-bodied Imperial IPA for a bit of snap and crackle - and plenty of hop. Brewed with Motueka hops from New Zealand, it starts dry and finishes crisp.

Cloudy tan, bubbly head, aroma is orangey, tangerine with subtle malts and yeast in the background. Earthy and somewhat dull citrus - muted by the large amount of yeast in the glass I suspect. Unsurprisingly, I don’t get much rice.

2021-05-07, can from the brewery, 9.3% ABV, 6-4-7-3-14=34
Golden colour, slight haze. The aroma is very muted. It has a good body, it's moderately sweet, toasted rice, it lacks of barley depth of flavours; balanced bitterness, hints of stone fruit and jam, but overall modest hop quality. Nothing special, but it's easy drinking.

2014-03-07, draught at St. Augustine's, Vancouver, 9.2% ABV, 8-3-7-4-14=36
Muddy orange-blond color with persistent creamy head. The aroma is powerful, fruity; tropical fruits, litchi, papaya. Smooth mouthfeel, round; a bit too sweet, the rice probably contributes to the lack of character; but the hopping seems well done, with the correct bitterness and a very strong fruit component.
Some elements are good, but altogether they don't blend well. Cloying.

Bomber, thanks H&T. Hazy orange colour, white head. Aroma of lots of pine, spruce, light fruity, hoppy. Flavour is very different, pine, but also loads of peach, tropical fruits, mango, pineapple, firm bitter hoppy finish. Medium-bodied. Tasty.

Wonderful. Heavy grapefruit hops aroma on head here. Easily best among the parallel 49 beers that made it over to Ontario this weekend. Pours cloudy orange suggest head and lacing. Great integration of hops and malt. Bitter finish, booze well concealed. Nice. Tap at volos.

Poured from the tap. Cloudy, orangey yellow with dissipating white head. Very skunky hop aroma. Very odd wild rice flavour with some skunk and a hoppy dry bitter finish. A very different, interesting beer that I can only handle in a small amount. May share with a friend again.

Bottle - Skunky hops with a bit of grapefruit. Hazy gold with a nice head. Tastes exactly as it smells with the spicy, earthy hop notes. Unfortunately that is it, a one trick pony with very little body as well. A decent drink but nothing to write home about.

650mL bottle, pours an opaque cloudy orange with a medium white head. Aroma is super dank, with loads of pot, earthy hops, and biscuity malt. Flavour is quite odd, with loads of super dank, earthy hops, pot, and herbal notes. The rice probably contributes to some of the weirdness. It's the dank, herbally, almost skunky notes of the hops that shine here. Very enjoyable stuff - too bad it's a one-off.
