Bottle from De Bierverteller, Utrecht. Aroma is roasted malt with potent peat, dark chocolate, smoke, wood, touch of tobacco, ash, notes of salty liquorice. Flavour is medium sweet and pleasantly bitter with just a little alcohol. Medium to full body. Very nice peat and barrel character, bittersweet, really well-made by Kromme Haring!

Bottle. Pitch black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is peated, some toasted malts, whisky, mild tobacco and some tea leafs as well. Flavour is heavily and rather intensily peated with mild tobacco, wood and some roasted malts with mild alcohol sweetness too. Enjoyable sipper, which works very well in room temperature too.

33cl fles van Drinks&Gifts. Zwart, beige kraag. Aroma van turf, alcohol, geroosterde mout, wat gedroogd fruit als dadels of vijgen. Smaak is flink geturfd, geroosterde mout, pure chocolade, wat koffie, vijgen, caramel, bittere finish. Volle body, iets alcoholisch. Heerlijk.
33cl bottle. A black beer with a tan head. Aroma of smoked and peated malt, dark roasted malt. Taste of dark roasted malt, soy, liquorice, peated malt. Boozy finish.

Pitch black colour. Dense rocky beige head with long retention. Aroma's of peat, roast, a bit boozy a bit sweet. Retronasal there's some red fruit, sweetness, fudge, peat, roast. Flavour is moderate sweet with some roasted bitterness and peat. Alcohol feel is quite moderate for its 12% ABV. Body is rather full. Long finish, ashy and moderate bitter. Great stuff!

Bottle. Color: Black, thin beige head. Aroma: Roasted malt, peat. Taste: Dark roasted malt, mocha, pretty strong smoke and peat notes. Bit boozy. Moderate sweetness and moderate to medium bitterness. Full body, soft carbonation. Smooth and dense mouthfeel. Long lasting peaty and roasted finish. Very nice, although I'm missing the complexity of the PX/Auchentoshan BA Beluga I've had yesterday.

Bottled 330ml (Beerdome, BB 12/2020)
Opaque colour, small steady brownish head and lace. Huge peaty nose with toastyness and whisky. Full-bodied. Roasted, some tobacco, bitterness, wood, loads of peat in the flavour. Also good amount of whisky here. A bit rough stuff, real Winter Warmer but I enjoy this solid peatyness.
Lekker rook. Lekker nippen

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of fruity meaty smoke, chocolate, whisky, licorice, malt and peat. Taste has nice savory smoke, strong peat, smooth red fruit, oak, chocolate, licorice, oak, burned caramel and a whisky forward finish. This is really nice, the barrel aging is heavy, but the beer is strong enough to carry it.
