We believe in Karma. We suspect most of you do, too. It truly is a global concept: very simply put, “you get what you give.” Inspired by this principle and the wonderful farmhouse and pale ales of Belgium, we’ve created Karma Ale, a decidedly fruity and estery ale, intricate in body and nose, all driven by a unique Belgian yeast strain. Remember, good things DO happen to good people. Here’s to being good!

Nose of tropical fruits, light piney hops, and quite a bit of yesty esters. Some canned fruit flavors emerge, with more light tropical fruit in the finish. A light bitter finish, and some light sweetness. Refreshing, i enjoyed it.

From Jun 2006

Poured from 12oz bottle a reddish-gold with a small head of foam that dissipated quickly leaving a small ring around the edge of the glass.

The smell has sour and pungent notes to it, which Inot finding very attractive.

The taste has some sour notes up front with some malt flavour, barely, but wow.... I'm finding this one very hard to drink. It just doesn't hit my palate in a positive way.

Bottom line: There's plenty of flavourful Avery beers out there but, this is not one of them. I don't recommend it.

Bottle. Yeast, apricot/grape, caramel malt, and grass aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Sweet lightly funky apricot, caramel malt and mildly bitter herbal hay flavor. Full bodied. Good.

Clear medium amber colour, small frothy off-white head, recedes quickly, minor lacing. Fresh fruity aroma, light sourish, berries, peach, marmalade, citrus, floral hops. Taste mild light sweet and bitter. Light to medium body, oily to light sticky texture, light carbonation. Mild bittersweet aftertaste, light sourish, citrus notes, overall a refreshing and mild beer, a kind of cross-over of a pale ale and a fruit beer.

Bottle: Pours clear, dark amber with a solid, short, off-white head. Sweet caramel scent. Taste is malty, light caramel. Almost a peanut-brittle-esque taste in the back.... Earthy nut and faint yeast. Not bad at all.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma is full of rich malt character and a ton of fruit esters. Light bananas, some pear, red apple and tropical fruit. Pours a clear copper color with a thin white head with amazing retention. Flavor is similar with a sweet caramel malt character and a ton of esters. Same esters as in the aroma along with some raisin. Light bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall an alright beer but I feel it needs something more to balance out all the esters.

On tap at Avery. Poured a medium amber with a thin broke white head. The aroma is malty/yeast with a medium bitter metallic watery palate. Not a classic.
