Pours black, not much foam. Smell is smokey, roasty. Mild booze. Taste is full, roasty. medium smokeyness. Chocolatty, mild rum, but not as boozy as expected. Nice, even I can handle this amount of smoke.

Opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Fluffy palate, slightly soft and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Airy dark malts, a little dark malt cream. Soft white smoke, nice, my kinda smoke levels. Modest tingly spice. Smooth chocolate, fruity and well integrated with the fruity rum. Finishes smooth. A deft beer this, full of flavour but with all flavours in good balance. I can think of many brewers who would have made a hash of this. Not so Widawa. Very nicely done.

Draught @ Dynamo, Brussels. Smooth, roasty and sweetish with some rum, wood, oak, chocolate and vanilla, hints of earthiness and licorice. Quite complex and tasty.

0,375l bottle at home shared with a friend. BB 31.12.2018. black color, almost no head. smells smoked, earthy, licorice, bit grassy, bit nutty. very nice smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes sweet, earthy, molasses, soy sauce, light rum, bit leathery, pepper, marzipan, nutty, light smoke. finishes medium sweet with notes of molasses, soy sauce and some peppery notes. nice to very nice, but also quite sweet. Complexity could be a bit better.

375ml bottle [#312]. Jet black colour with slightly late awakening, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, tan head. Smoky and roasty, chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of birch wood, dark chocolate, a touch of peat, asphalt, blueberry overtones, the intensity of initially cautious caramel and rum notes increases with warm-up. Taste is mildly smoky, chocolately dark malty, notes of molasses, caramel, rum, dark chocolate, peat, treacle, birch wood; oily texture, gentle carbonation, smooth and soft palate, lingering, minimally sticky, sweet-ish finish. Rich and intense, very well balanced and harmonious, relatively easy drinkable and in no way overdone - the rum BA brings the whole thing to perfection.

Butelka 375ml (BB 31.12.2018). Czarne, nieprzejrzyste z cienkim, brązowym kożuszkiem piany, która opadając wyraźnie oblepia ścianki szkła. Aromat intensywny, głównie wędzony z nutami szyneczki, gorzkiej czekolady i delikatną nutą słodkiego alkoholu w tle. Gratulacje Wojtek!
