We like to think this is an ale for everyone who believes you make your own luck. We sure did. And the result is a well-balanced, soulful IPA with just the right amount of hoppiness. An even keeled ale that goes down clean and refreshing, but still lets you know it’s been doted on by the Brewmaster. It’s true to it’s IPA heritage, but also highly drinkable. Lucky U. And we seriously mean that.

Reviewed from notes. Consumed April 13, 2013.
The appearance is a cloudy orange body with a one finger white foamy head rises and falls leaving some clingy spider web lacing.
The smell has some faded hops and malts somewhat bitter yet combined for the most part.
The taste is a bland bittersweet through previously mentioned flavors with a dry sweet aftertaste and a dry finish.
The palate is a light to medium, and somewhat sessionable.
Overall, well, Im not sure how fresh this is, something seems off, so until then I’ll only seek fresher.

Apricot-amber with a short, off-white head. Nose is minimal, bread and fruit. Taste is flat, bready bitter...malt and resin. Not bad, but absolutely no backbone.

Bottle: Poured a dark orangey/amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of bitter citrus notes with semi sweet malty notes is quite nice. Taste is a mix between some semi-sweet malt backbones which is fuller then expected with some citrus notes and a medium bitter finish. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Hops profile is not as explosive as I would have been expected with more residual sugar then I usually like in my IPA.

From a 12 oz bottle shared at home. Pours a hazy gold with an off white head. Malty aroma with feint floral hops. Flavors are bit more hoppy, but still with a strong malt backbone. Bitter finish. Quite sessionable.
