This winter-inspired pils is a classic drinkable pilsner brewed with spruce tips. Like a deep breath of fresh Northwest air, Yellow Snow is a crisp and clean with a refreshing hint of spruce making this pils enjoyable time and time again. Contrary to popular belief, spruce tips don't actually taste like Christmas trees. Instead, they impart subtle yet complex aromas and flavors of sweet bubblegum, citrus and resin.

7 INGREDIENTS: Weyerman Pils, Carabelge malts; Perle, Sterling hops; Oregon Spruce Tips; Czech Pils Yeast; Free Range Coastal Water

A workaday Pilsener. Light and grassy with a bit of resin. Malt forward with a bit of sweet and citrus. Quick finish.

(can, 35.5cl) Hazy, golden colour with a short and slightly off-white foamy head. Grainy and slightly juicy malty nose with notes of cereals, wine gums and citric, grapefruity hops. Sweet and delicately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Sweet wine gum flavour with traces of grainy malt and citric hops; sweet and restrained bitter finish. Likeable brew but stylewise with loads of off-flavours. Neat. 19.IX.18

Danke an herrklemann. Heller, süßlich herber Beginn. Milde Kräuternoten, mild malzig. Süffig, die Herbe rückt in den Hintergrund. Geringe Karbonisierung, spritziger kurzer Nachhall, süßlich. 8/8/9/7/11/8

Can from AEON Liquors, Jiyugaoka. Pours clear golden, yellow if you will. At first quite decent and thick foam top there, reduces with time into a think layer. Nose has malts, some honey character, feels crisp. Not getting these spruce tips for some reason. Taste is nice malty, some resiny-spicy edge to it, maybe I'm imagining it but spruce tips could be there. Quite decent and flavourful full-bodied pilsner. Not very complicated beer, meant for drinking.

Rather incongruous pils, mixing cereal grain sweetness, floral noble hop notes, aggressive lemon-apple lager fruitiness, and herbal spruce into one weird-ass brew. Lots of white bread pops up as well, while the finish is somewhat biscuity and mild, with mild bitterness that can't quite coalesce with the evergreen freshness. Each element in an of itself is interesting, but the beer never comes together as a whole, remaining more a curiosity than a clutch winter pint. Pretty pour comes out yellow-gold with a firm white head and modest lacing. Creamy but perky feel works for a pils. Grainy nose flirts with noble funkiness. Worth trying, but not worth a sixer.

12 oz can. Pours a hazy light gold color with a white head and fair retention. No lacing. Flat mouthfeel. Taste is sweet with a touch of citrus and very smooth. Very un-crisp for a pilsner. Poundable.

Canned 355ml. -from Pivoteka Zagreb. Golden coloured, medium sized white head, dusty fruity nose. Sweetish malty, light citrusy, grainy and touch of spruce with mild lemony finish. More summer than winter beer.

Clear, yellow brown beer is much like the name insists. Foam vanishes quickly. Aroma and taste both has malts, grass and little bit of fruits, citrus and pine. Light body, carbonation is gentle. Smooth, not very impressive or as fresh as good pils could be.
