Crisp and fruity with a hint of honey, this ale brewed with Michigan cherries is light on the palate, yet full of surprising depth and flavor. The cherries contribute a tart fruit character, while a touch of honey adds a slight sweetness.

Bottle with thanks to Brian. Pours clear orange, small off-white head, some lacing. Aroma is strong maraschino cherry, some wheat. Flavor is light plus sweet, a misplaced sharp vegetal bitternes, cherries, wheat. Light body, well carbonated. Interesting.

12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, best before 6/2015. Pours lightly hazy golden orange color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of black cherry, wheat, cracker, biscuit, light honey, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of black cherry and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of black cherry, wheat, cracker, biscuit, light honey, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Minimal earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of black cherry, wheat, cracker, biscuit, light honey, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Good balance and robustness of black cherry and bready malt flavors; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5.3%. Overall this is a good fruit wheat beer. All around good balance and robustness of black cherry and bready malt flavors; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Old rating. Bottle from Old Town. Cherry aromas with a faint bit of grain detectable. Tastes is overly sweet and medicine-like on the palate. Finish is lightly dry. Sickeningly cherry sweetness is overpowering.

12 oz bottle. Once you pop the cap off this one you get a huge blast of fresh pie cherry aroma. Lucky for me I really like cherry, otherwise this beer is definitely not for you. It’s not like the cherry flavor is subtle. Good morning beer in my opinion. The flavor isn’t bad. This is a try once a year beer for me.

Bottle at the USAID Bureau for Africa holiday party. The food was great, the company was excellent, but the beer was lacking. This one was a cheap lager with cherry juice added. Full stop.

Bottle - Sweet maraschino cherries and some light wheat notes. Cloudy orange gold with a rich white head. Tastes as sweet as it smells with some wheat notes in the back. This is just too sweet for my tastes.

12oz bottle from a Wegman’s in Buffalo, NY. A hazy orange pour with a thin white head; aroma of ground almonds; cherry bakewell tart aroma - that’s ground almonds and sweet cherries; and a sweet cherry finish. DRinkable, but not what I was expecting.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance had a pale amber body, small white head, thin lacing sliding quickly into the body.
The smell had some cherries up front, faint malt, slight wheat and yeast in the background more so as the beer warms.
The taste was sweet and tart at different times through the cherries, wheat plays a slight part, yeast comes out to help balance.
The palate was about a light to medium, sessionable, sweet aftertaste and finish.
Overall, this is a good beer to get those malt drinkers over to the beer side, yet I would still have it again.

12oz bottle picked up at the state store
Clear golden with a medium sized white head and good lacing. Aroma of cherry soda/syrup and wheat. Flavors of cherries, plastic, straw with some bitter herbal in the finish
OK, not my thing though
