Crisp and fruity with a hint of honey, this ale brewed with Michigan cherries is light on the palate, yet full of surprising depth and flavor. The cherries contribute a tart fruit character, while a touch of honey adds a slight sweetness.

Bottle. A- Cherry, spices, cough drops. A- Copper color, hazy liquid, minimal head. T- Sweet malts, mild cherry tones, cough syrup tones. P- Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, spiced cherry finish. O- Not bad, but not great. Reminds me more of cough medicine than beer. I was felt quite unsatisfied.

Enjoyed at the Yard House at Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas. Pours a slight hazy golden-amber colour with a small white head. Sweet cherry extract aromas with some light wheat, kind of Amaretto-like. The cherries are there in the taste, but not as syrupy as expected. Well-blended with the grain. Refreshing, but a little too sweet for my likings. Still worth trying, but can only have one per session.

Draft sampled at Federal House, Annapolis. Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of massive cherry, nothing else can get past it. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter, still overwhelmed by the cherries with perhaps a little caramel behind. Light bodied with light carbonation.

24.06.2013, tap @ Doyle’s Cafe, Boston:
Small creamy shortlasting head. Aroma is lots of fresh cherries, wheat, sugar, hay, caramel. Taste is slightly fruity, wheat, cherries, hay, grass, yeast. Little bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Nice one, not artificial like they often are.

Bottle. Rich yellow colour, off-white spongy small head with good retention, disturbing cough-syrop like aroma, overpowering cherry taste, long finish. This is like drinking bubble-gum! Cherry taste does not go well in this beer.

The pour produces a tall, fluffy white head over a hazy, light gold body. The aroma is snack stand cherry fruit pie. It has the cherry, the pie crust and the sugary icing. As it sits, the cherry aroma seems to build, and in doing so begins to become a bit medicinal and artificial. Tastes like a blond ale with cherry candy dropped into it. For fruit beer, I’ll stick with Dunedin or New Glarus or any of the others that do this trick well.
