Bottle picked up from Gulpener brewery shop,Gulpen, Netherlands and consumed at home Monday 8th November 2021 listening to Steve Lamaqs Evening Session on 6 Music, we had Spaghetti Bolognese for tea, it was great. This is a very good and for my money a classic example of a Hefe-Weisse. Pours pale gold, there is only a light haze, a white head didn't last long. The nose is light wheat but also a hint of vinegar, it certainly doesn't taste infected but the nose would suggest it's heading that way. Taste is actually ok, once you've got past the nose tricking you into believing that this is not going to be great. A little wheaty, a nice softness, a touch of a tart tang, some light spice. Ok.

Bottle. Blonde, cloudy. Tangerine and banana in both aroma and flavor. Some yeasty and dusty notes. Standard but pleasant weizen with a lemon aftertaste.

Fles gedeelt met LiekevdV. Het is een troebel geel bier met weinig schuim. Het heeft een moutige wat gistachtige geur en smaak.

Pours mildly unclear blonde, medium small white head. Smell is banana, sweet ( added sweeteners , I supose ? ) taste is full, intense banana esters . No clear sweetener in the taste tho. Med high carbo. Medium body. Ok, but really weak in complexity and depth....

Mooi van kleur, gedronken uit fles. Weinig schuim. Niet zo lekker als sommige Duitse, maar zeker een prima bier.
