Bottle. Darkest color with white head. Aroma is roast, chocolate, plums. Taste is chocolate, roast, rather sweet. Oily mouthfeel with fine-bubbled carbonation. Decent, but not amazing.

Bottle at L6 thanks to Colin. It pours opaque near black with a medium white head. The aroma is soft, rather sweet, jammy, chocolate, rocky road and some nougat. The taste is slick, sweet, sticky, sugary, spice, umami character, toasted malt, nougat, rocky road, jam and some graininess. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not bad, perhaps a bit muddled.

Bottle brought to the 23rd June 2018 Cotteridge gathering by 'Jim Green' himself (strangely called 'John'). Anyway it was shared out between those of us who had not seen it before. Tan topping on a black bodied Stout. Roasted chocolate malts and liquorice in the aroma, taste also has both chocolate maltiness and liquorice flavours, coffee flavours in there too, nice and boozy.
