Our Bärentöter is a strong crossover between Gose and Bock. This harmoniously complex beer is produced using an opulent mixture of six special malts with additions of coriander, orange peel salt, and a touch of cinnamon. A lactic acid fermentation is complemented by saltiness and malt body to create a perfectly balanced beer. On this basis fine fruit and spice aromas can unfold, making this Gose Bock something very special.

500ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, brought by me, thanks to Erzengel! Pours a clear amber, small off-white head. Pleasant spicy coriander and cinnamon aroma, slightly salty. These features continue to taste, very softly sour with a curious spicy sweetness, hints of caramel. Very interesting, even Jeremy liked it.

Bottle. Orange, cinnamon, biscuit malt, salt, and straw aroma. Hazy dark amber with large tan head. Lightly sweet orange/lemon, biscuit malt, moderately sour citric acid, and mildly bitter straw flavor. Good body. Interesting.

BOTTLE 50 CL. Clear amber, dismissing beige head. The aroma is clean caramel and malts - a little dms-y German malts, maybe just a hint of booze. Not much else. The taste is clean lactic sourness of moderate intensity, backed by equally clean caramel sweetness. All nice and clean - to the point it feels a little boring. A glimpse of grass in the after taste. No salt. Good, but a tad simplistic.

0,5 l bottle from kappldav123. Thanks for your effort. Bright copper in the glass with a one finger head. Pale malty fruity on the nose. Taste starts fruity malty with a salty influence and coriander. Increasing sourness and dry malty in the second part. Very low carbonated. Nice and unusual stuff.

bottle, big thanks to kappldav123! Hazy brownish golden, tall off-white head. Malty base with s sourish touch, hints of corisnader, spices, a touch of salt in the far background. Unusual, yet quite nice.
