On tap at Chuck's - Greenwood. Pours black with a beige head. Tons of rich bourbon, dark sugars, and black liquorice on the nose. Flavour has a great roasty base, spicy Belgian yeast, black liquorice, and a great barrely bourbon character. Excellent.

Bottle. Pours a jet black hue with a small beige head. A huge wafting nose, bourbon, roast, metallic. Big, beastly, Belgian spices, heat, huge bourbon, vanilla. This is lovely. Everything you want in a BA stout. The patience here makes all the difference.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is rich and complex, with a wonderfully lush bourbon barrel character, followed by dark cocoa, some vanilla, and rather light roast. Flavour is likewise very decadent, with lots of bourbon barrels, followed by vanilla, cocoa, some gentle Belgian yeast, and caramel. Bourbony, boozy, but we'll-rounded. Lovely.

Tap @ Himmeriget, Copenhagen. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aromas of heavy bourbon, vanilla, fudge, dark chocolate, light tannic. Taste has lots of heavy bourbon, vanilla, fudge, dark chocolate, lightly roasty coffee finish. Damn!

Black with no head. Aroma has lots of raw alcohol and a kind of rum and raisin sweetness. Flavour is less harsh but has the same dried fruit sweetness. A bit too much.

Draught @ Fermentoren, Halmtorvet 29 c, Copenhagen, Denmark 1700. [ As Block 15 Imagine (2017) ].ABV: 12.75%. Clear dark black brown colour with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dark chocolate, alcohol - bourbon, moderate bread. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate, roasted, alcohol, bourbon, dark malt, bread, wood, light soy sauce. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20180308] 8-4-8-4-16
