Inspired by traditional Bavarian techniques, Kellerweis is a true artisan experience. With Kellerweis, we brew in open fermentation tanks—a process rarely seen today—to let the ingredients truly shine. The result is a hazy wheat ale—untamed, raw and alive. With a full, fruity aroma and notes of spicy clove and banana bread, Kellerweis is a truly unique brew.

Irregular, just off-white head over lively carbonated unclear yellow to orange-golden beer. Clove, allspice, Jamaican pepper, other spices; some faint banana and citrus. Dry-spicy (nutmeg too?), light bitterish onset but then converting to light acidic wheat and fruitesters, fusels. Very carbonated; light to medium bodied, faint wheatslickness, refreshing. Nothing but very classical Hefeweizen - maybe a bit lighter MF.

355ml bottle into weizen glass. Subtle wheat/hop nose. Pours a translucent honey/caramel colour with the typical towering white head. Quite watery and lightly bitter. Finish has distant banana and hop notes. Refreshing but not involving.

Tap at Craft Beer Rising (London, 19 February 2015) Pours cloudy yellow with a thin head of clean white foam. The nose shows mostly bubble gum and banana. The palate also shows similar flavors. Lightly carbonation with a full body. Just a simple standard hefeweizen.

[backlog] 12-01-15 // bottle at Shady Pines Saloon, Sydney. The beer everything about craftbeer started for me. First CheckIn on Untappd. Cloudy orange beer. Foamy head. Americans can indeed brew other beers as Bud and Miller. This is a nice calssical weizen. Solid banana and clove. Well carboanted. Smooth mouthfeel. Fresh ans tasty.

On tap. Ours a cloudy gold/Amber with moderate foamy head. Aromas of dusty malts, bananas and toast. Flavors are similar with creamy banana and earthy wheat. Full.

Lively, hazy yellow beer with a frothy head with a floral banana smell to it. Flavour has a heavy dose of banana in there too. Sweet and bitter is well-balanced. It’s not anything you wouldn’t expect from the style but it’s mellow, very drinkable and very well done.

Bottle. Aroma distinctive weizeny clove, spiciness, lemony. Hazy yellow colour. Taste is also rather at the spicy-clove-lemony side, a bit drier and thinner than some other weizens, with a very light soury-spicy twist in flavour. Really good.

0,33L bottle. Pours hyazy orange with off-white head. The head stays for some time. Aroma is intense sweetness, fruits, banana, and citrus. Flavor is very sweet, wheat, fruits, citrus, banana. Overall: very good weizen, maybe a tad bit too sweet.

Bottle from Ammersin 5, Vienna.
Hazy, dark golden body, with a massive, frothy, slightly yellow head.
Typical Hefeweizen aroma of banana, orange, some citrus, clove and other spices, grains.
Taste is smooth, with about the same aromas and also vanilla and some more hop notes.
Mouthfeel is medium to light, slick, with a low carbonation and it finishes spicy, slightly bitter and fruity.
Very good! Pretty much how I like a Hefeweizen, easy to drink, but fully aromatic, smooth and with the yeast, malts and hops in a well balance. Could easily be from Bavaria if you didn’t know it.
