A hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light Brett, light lactic notes, resinous floral hops, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with citrus, light tropical fruits, light Brett, light lactic notes, very nice. On tap at L'autre oeil.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a great funk with a light fruit and flora note as well as some light sweet grains. Flavor has a nice combination of light fruits, citrus and some flora with a hint of grain underlying.

September 2015 bottle on my deck with LeninCat and the boom box blasting Dick’s Picks Vol. 15. Slightly hazy golden appearance with a lasting, fluffy, off white head. Aroma has candy, bubble gum, tropical fruity Brett, some straw, hay, and mild funk. A little twangy in the mouth. The flavor is more muddled. There’s weird cross notes of bubblegum and some twangy fruit. A bit of acid on the finish. It’s only ok, so I’m a bit disappointed.

Tap at Craft Heads. Huge hoppy nose with tons of tropical notes with some citrus as well. The brett is there but it takes a backseat to the hops on the nose. Bitter and fruity on the palate with a little booze that comes out as it warms. Very nice.

Pours a bit darker, biy of foam. Aroma is horse blankety, bit of bitter. Woody and spiced with pine needles. It is not very easy to match sour beer and hops but this beer manifests that it can be done. Horseblanket bitterness with sour pine needles. Very happy to try this one.

Deep amber color. Frothy white head. Huge dry hopping like sticking my face in a bag of hops with stone fruit and citrus notes. Not overly bitter but hugely hoppy in the mouth. Very much aiming at an orval. Drinks much lighter than 7.5%. I would prefer a bit more tartness

Bottled Sep 2015, drunk 3/6/16 at Portland location.
Nearly gushing pour has mountains of white head that is well-retained. Minimal haziness throughout a brass-golden body with plentiful carbonation.
Best aroma of the day for me, even beating out the wonderful tart peach goodness of Momoko. This is just perfectly done brett, like some of the better orval bottles I’ve had. Wonderful mix of hickory nut skin, keylime, guava, band aid lighter, sharper perfume notes. Soft honey and biscuits sit in the background not disturbing the elegant brett in the least. No alcohol or flaws. It’s close between a 9 or 10, and I would give it a 9.5. I could do with a little more complexity pas the brett, so I’ll err on giving it a 9.
The flavor is not quite as exciting as the aroma, showing a bit of nuttiness, cream of wheat and dry biscuit that reduces the overall brightness and alacrity of the brett. Still, it’s dry, wonderfully carbonated and incredibly drinkable, with no sign of the 7.5% abv. Awesome, awesome beer.

3oz pour at Max’s Belgian Fest 2016 pours a hazy gold with some white head. Nose has peach, band aid, perfume, white grape, floral, some honey. Flavor follows, ripe and juicy stone fruits, honey, apricot, light hand soap. Finishes lightly sweet. Real nice.
