Aroma of malt, caramel, tropical fruit notes, lots of pine resin, mild floral notes, hops. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with a bitter finish. Nice body, bit sticky mouthfeel. Name is well-chosen, it does have a ’rustic’ kind of aroma.

Bottled. Hazy amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is toffee, some mild rye, fruitiness and a bit resiny and wooden notes. Flavour is quite strong on the floral bitterness, but also got some rye, mild toasted notes as well as some nectar to it. Nice bitter long aftertaste.

Bottle thanks to Sarah! Pours a clear orange gold with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet grains and a light fruit hop note with a hint of rue underlying. Flavor is similar with sweet grains and a bit if rye with a growing light fruit hop note.

Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours clear gold, lightly effervescent, with a lasting white cream head. Lightly toasted, grainy bread in the nose, orange, faint caramel. Medium sweet flavor with piney hops, ripe orange, bread, husky grains. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and creamy texture. Lightly resinous on the finish with bitter pine, moderate sweetness, grains, citrus rind. Fair.

355ml bottle. Clear, dark orangey golden colour with small, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Biscuity malty aroma, a touch of almond, hoppy overtones with a touch of orange. Taste is bitter hoppy, a zesty orange touch, malty basis with hints of almond. Not the freshest example, but doesn’t evoke appetite to go for one.

Bottle from Biernavigatie, May 30th 2015, large sample. Clear golden to orange color, short frothy head. Aroma is a bit grainy, rye, slight pine, earthy. Medium bitterness, slight spicy rye. Easy going stuff. Lacks a bit hoppiness, but thats most likely the age.

Mildly hazy gold - amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and crispy. Very light malts, mild sweetness. A little floralness and the mild orange peel and spice. Whisper of lemon. Light finish. Slightly herby - floral bitter linger. Thin but clean.
