American Blonde; a crisp, straw-colored ale with a unique malt and citrus hop balance. It works!

On our ramble through the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, we stopped at Old Talbott Tavern to have a Hot Brown, a local dining delicacy. I picked Cougar Bait Blonde to go with it, a cold pint pour. Not a bad tasting beer, there was straw, a bit of citrus, some maltiness and mineral-free water. I would take another one anytime.

This is a pretty reasonably good blonde ale. No one gets excited for these things and for good reason but this is a nice balanced beer ,with mild herbal hops, light bready and caramelized malts.

12 oz can from Total Wine - Daytona. Pours a cloudy gold color with a small white head and fair retention. Zero lacing. Aroma of almost sour pale malts. The flavor is similar: Expiring pale malt with faint sour dough notes. Can dated 3/9/2023. Passed it's prime? Light body. Flat mouthfeel. Almost no carbonation. Not bitter. I think I need to find a fresher can.

Can at party from a plastic cup. Amber with a decent head. Faint grainy nose, light corn in the flavor, a bit thin, nondescript hops are pretty mild in the background. Hint of caramel gives it something, at least.

Weird blonde ale, a little skunky, with a wet grain base and mild pilsner-ish notes backed by a little fruitiness. Cold and a liquid, but that’s about all it gets right.

12oz can c/o BenT. Orange-tan body. Thin, fading head. The aroma certainly has some off tones...garbage aroma...reminds me of the off-flavor taste kit somewhat. Rather drinkable and straightforward, but also rather inexpert and mediocre at best. Unimpressive in most regards.
