Dark Skull is a heavy collaboration between our metal-loving brewer Peter and musician and craft beer-fan Victor Brandt (Entombed AD, Firespawn, Totalt Jävla Mörker). They headbanged their heads together to create a stout in a true Entombed AD spirit. Brewed with roasted barley, chocolate and oat malts, roasted coconut and coconut sugar.

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of chocolate, earthy coconut, malt, licorice and mocha. Taste has sugary coconut, milk chocolate, red fruit, caramel, licorice, mocha and a coconut dominated finish. Nice coconut stout, not like a bounty, but more earthy. I like it.

Bottle 33 cl. Balck with a light brown head. Aroma of Chocolate, coconut and burned malt. Sweet with light bitterness, warm chocolate and malt end. Nice Bb. 03.2019

Tap at Bishops Arms Östersund. Smells of beautiful coconut on occsionn. Taste and immediate palate is oily but residual palate is a gorgeous coffee afterwards.

Bottle thanks to sjogro. Very short lasting brown head on a slick black beer. Roasted coconut, cane sugar, dried plums, dark chocolate, quite flowery, gummy bears, hazelnuts, pudding, palm sugar. It has all these aromatic sugar notes with roasted coconut and soft dessert notes. Quite sweet and medium bitter. Over medium bodied with oily feel. Good stuff.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival, 30 Sep 2017) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of liquorice, black coffee and dark chocolate. Malty, roasted taste with dark chocolate, cacao, coffee, black rye bread, liquorice, a touch of burnt sugar and a generous cacao bitterness in a warming finish. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Really tasty and quit well balanced, with alcohol fairly well hidden. Very nice.

Thanks! 330 ml. bottle sampled. Black, mocha. Nose is soy sauce, umami, massive gravy. Thin weak bodied, plastic, grainy,… Plastic, umami, grainy mocha, soy sauce taste, low roast, lacking all coconut, quite disappointing.

Thnx to Eric. Pours nearly black, no real head. Smell is rather weak, mild chocolate. taste is mild bitter, roasty, very soft, milkchocolate, not very boozy ( relatively ) . Not to great, but certainly not bad.
