An Un-Freakin’-Filtered Hoppy Belgian-ish Wit
This UNFILTERED Belgian-ish Wit-ly-esque-ish-ness brew features a dry twang of hoppy bitterness and is perfect for the summertime drinking!
The Bard said that it’s better to be a witty fool than a foolish wit. True dat. Wit dat in mind we take you now to the stoopid side of the classic wit on the wings of Yakima’s finest. What’s it got to do with beer? Give us a call.

Bottle hazy light golden. Full lasting bright white head and lacing. Some Belgian yeast notes and light wheaty malt flavors. Fairly well hopped and agressive sharpness. Zesty and tasty

12oz bottle. Certainly more in line with a White IPA than a traditional Wit. Dry and bitter, no yeasty vanilla tones. Undesirable earthy spice tone. Depthless hop extractt tones. dry and bitter, just neutered and bland too. I really wouldn’t want a sixpack of this.

Bottle. A- Wet dog, soap, citrus, floral. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Soap, lemon, slightly bitter, floral, musty. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish. O- Leave it to Lagunitas to take what would be a great beer and add too much dank bitterness to it. Not bad, but not what I am after.

12oz bottle. Pours out a hazy golden topped with a white head. Nose is sweet caramel spice floral and bread. Taste is more of the sweet bread malts and floral spice.

Bottled in August.
Pours a straw gold, excellent and long lasting head of foam.
Smells of light coriander and clove, extremely heavy piney hops. As it warms, the former 2 do seem to intensify.
Taste seems to center on the piney hops and overwhelms the flavours that make a Wit a Wit. To boot, I think the flavours clash rather than compliment each other.
Good enough mouthfeel.
Good name for the beer. Take a Wit and drown it in hops.

Slightly hazy gold with a tall, sticky white head. Herbal, lemon aroma. The flavor is light citrus, some hop bitterness and an overall herbal dryness that’s a bit different. Good, but not very Wit-like.

Bottle from Whole Food-Chelsea, 9/30/16. Pours an unclear burnt orange color with a frothy beige head. Leaves some strong lace on the glass as well. The aroma is yeast and spice, pepper, clove, and herbs, some citrus, a bit of grass, and some wheat. Flavor is clean and yeasty, with a good citrus presence mid-palate, and a peppery close. Clean feel, spicy tingle on the close. Quite good.

Sample at SBWF 2016. Hazy dark golden with a white head. Aroma and taste of citrus, grass, light herbs and some hints of malt. The body was relaxed and the finish on the dry side.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Julio’s Liquors. Appearance is hazy bright yellow with greenish tinge, mild sparkle, finger-width white fizzy head with poor retention and mild lacing. Aroma is wheat, citrus, resin, candi sugar, faint spent match. Taste is candi sugar, citrus, grapefruit, resin. Palate is medium bodied with foamy texture, lively carbonation and mix of moderately sweet and bitter finish. Overall, true to its description, it is a hoppy wit. Not surprisingly, for this brewer, the emphasis is on the hoppy side and the wit is downplayed. Would have been better more split between the two.
