An absurd amount of new school German hops Huell Mellon & Manderina Bavaria are accented with Mosaic & Centennial laid upon a base of pale malts, flaked oats and lactose.. lingering herbaceous bitterness floats on a cotton candy wave.

Not quite what I was expecting. With the oats and lactose, I thought this would be closer to a NE-style IPA, but it isn't, really. Pours an only slightly cloudy orange-yellow, with minimal to no head. Aroma is quite fruity, with strong peach bouquet, some grassiness and citrus. Flavor is grassy, citrusy, lightly sweet, but with a dry, bitter finish. It isn't bad, just not quite what I thought it might be.

Can/Fest. A- Citrus, mild cleaner. A- Gold color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Lemon, cleaner. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Balanced but a bit of a cleaning solution flavor. Not bitter which makes me happy. Assuming that all comes from the lactose. Nice to have an ipa that is a little different.

Medium body, smooth mouthfeel, average carb. Good IPA, not sure the flavours worked as well as intended though.
