Gravity dispense at Pigs Ear ’15, 04/12/15. Rich chestnut brown with reddish hues and limited tan bubbles that dissipate to nyadda. Nose carries tannins, dark berry notes, wood must, funk, earthy, dried cherry skins. Taste comprises tangy red berries, funky presence, dry rot, light fruit balsams, damp wood. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent.

Keg at IMBC 2015 shared with Travlr cheers Gene; deep purple colour with zero head, strong fruit aroma, taste has unrefined harsh sourness, with some roast malt action a strange one.

Draft at IMBC. Clear maroon color, flat. Aroma of sourdough brownies. Taste is both tart and roasty, in an odd combo. I liked the blonde and the fruit, but this was a disappointment.

Draft @ Brett Fest 2015. Dark pour. Aroma of roasted malt and tart. Taste is quite rich, with dark roasted malt, coffee, sour, horseblanket, some licorice and prune. Almost has a barrel aged touch to it. Great beer.

Thanks for sharing! Sampled cask @ In De Wildeman during Carnivale Brettanomyces #4. Black with zero head. Nose is coffee, liquorish, herbal, candy, sour coffee, sweet & oddly funky all the same,… Taste is weird, herbal, liquorish, thick mixed with big funk, vinegar, chicory, anise, sour coffee grounds,… Flat,… Like an old school UK porter with brett gone totally wild,… A very contradictory set of flavours. Interesting for sure but largely just interesting. Interesting all the same to have.

Keg at Six Deg North. It pours near black with a small beige head. The nose is earthy, roasty, liquorice, aniseed, soft berry and funk. The taste is sour, earthy roast, toasty, pretty acidic, tart berry skin, granny smith apple, damp leaves, balsamic vinegar and some mouldy wood notes with a sour, earthy finish. Medium body and low carbonation. Rather interesting stuff. Somehow works.
