In Norwegian tradition alcoholic beverages are sent across the globe to
benefit from the temperature variations and climate changes experienced
when crossing the equator. This Belgian triple was brewed at Bridge Road
Brewers in Beechworth, Australia. Maturation took place in Australian Port
barrels on its journey to Norway. Blending and packaging
was carried out by Nøgne Ø.

330ml bottle. Pours a hazy pale gold with lots of sediment floating around and a small, fizzy, white head that fully dissipates. Sweet aroma of toffee, orange, peach, vanilla, red wine and oak. Sweet, fruity flavour of orange, peach, sugar, wheat malt, red wine and oak with a tart, mildly bitter finish. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft to almost flat carbonation. Very nice.

Bottle thanks to Stuu666. Appearance - golden with a thin head. Nose - sultanas and toasted coconut. Taste - more barrel flavours. More sultanas. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy rich texture and a long and fairly good finish though it could be fresher. Overall - interesting.

Shared 33cl bottle. Brewed on 8/21/2013. Pours a cloudy golden color with a minimal white head. Aroma of malt, alcohol, and fruit. Taste is malt, port, oak, caramel, brown sugar, dark fruit notes, alcohol. Rather sweet with not much bitterness. It’s really nothing at all like an Abbey Tripel, as the port kills off all tripel characteristics, but it’s still quite good.

MBR. Think it was this one and not the regular... or? Enormous thanks Ludo for importing and sharing! Misty darker golden body. Malty notes mixing with wine barrel notes in the aroma, I got more "white" than "port" so I guess i need to recalibrate myself. Soft fruity malty taste, apples, mild barrel, quite interesting. I actually wrote interesting three times in my notes at varying positions, so I’m guessing it was, in fact, interesting. Interesting. Very good stuff, great collab guys (and interesting)!

330 ml bottle. Pours a hazy copper with little head. Aromas of tea, ginseng, old fruit and wet malts. Flavors of estery old marmalade, fruit liqueur, and stale vinuous wood. Maybe past it’s prime as bottled 8.13
