Brun farge med hvitt skum. Lukter av karamellmalt og vanilje. Fyldig og kjenner alkoholsmaken godt. Kjenner også karamell i smak. Dyp fyldig søtlig avslutning.

Ooh, sequel beer! We all know the sequel isn’t better than the original, except in rare cases. At least they add more sex and violence to make up for it though eh? This has a heavy burlap orange fog body with a big head that went away before I finished dun typing this sentence. Thunderstormy, good carbonation and head. Aroma has soft cheese funk, hay, peach, resin, dried out vanilla ice cream. Don’t let me hold you down, we could be there now; this has something going on in the aroma. Most beers we review holistically, yeah that’s a big word when talking drunk, but this aroma is top notch; the other aspects notwithstanding. On a lazy smell it’s just fusel, but deeper in there there’s a whole lot. So anyways, I’s a takin’ a sip. There’s this funky heavy single malt scotch caramel aspect to the whole thing along with a peach syrup that dominates the finish. Odd cloying backend I tells ya, the finesse is gone that I felt in the aroma. Yeah, odd cloying caramel on this thing that really drags it down. That’s great that you did this brew, and I’mma let you finish, but the aroma was the best part - said Kanye. Maybe.

330mL bottle, pours a hazy dark amber orange with almost no head. Aroma is fairly hot, with lots of candied sugar, port barrels, and Belgian yeast. Flavour is complex, with tons of port barrels upfront, lots of alcohol heat, a little candied sugar and light Belgian yeast. A little harsh on the alcohol, but it works pretty well. Near flat carbonation - could use some more. Lovely slow sipper. Too bad it costs a fortune ($25).

Bottle: Poured a murky dirty beige color ale with a small foamy head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma of residual sugar notes with some barrel-aged notes was OK. Taste is a mix of residual sugar notes with light fruity flavours and some Cognac notes which are clearly identifiable. Body is full with limited filtration and medium to low carbonation with light warming alcohol notes. I didn’t think all the flavours were very well integrated in this beer.

Bottled (from Vinmonopolet, Kirkenes). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is gluelike sweetness and some toffeeish notes. Flavour is fruity, some spices, glue and wooden notes. Too sticky sweet and glueish for my likes.

Hazy, deep amber-golden colored, no head, syrupy. Aroma is of caramel, brown sugar, dried fruits, light spice, strong wine barrel, some yeast and a noticeable alcohol note. Taste is medium to very sweet caramel and brown sugar mixed with dried fruits, light spices, strong wine barrel notes, light+ tartness, light+ spicy bitterness, alcohol extremely well hidden unlike in the nose, just some warmth. Medium+ bodied, flat carbonation, syrupy. (bottle, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte)
