Rauchbier with chili peppers... Wonder if this goes right. Yellowish beige, moussy, unstable, even dissolving foam - after strong gushing, so the carbonation has clearly escaped completely in a matter of seconds. Dark brownish bronze colour, cloudy. Very strongly smoked aroma, smoked bacon, tobacco, pear, paprika powder, fennel, cumin seed, white pepper, caramel, grapefruit. Subdued fruity taste, otherwise dry, caramelly and nutty, dominated by the smoked malt as well as a very strong cumin- and paprika-like, resinous spiciness which I suppose represents the chilis, even a light ’piquanterie’ in the finish, some peppery hops, medium long. Nice try but totally out of balance. But I suggest they keep trying out this concept, I’m sure it can come to something good somehow.

Exploded out of the bottle into a murky golden brown pour with a big tan head. Aroma of chillis, vegetables, weeds, light smoke, floral aspects and light caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

G U S H E R. 33 cl. bottle @ home from Willems. BBf 12/2014. Murky brownish orange amber, quickly fading off-white head. Smell is horribly revolting, not sure how to describe it even but it smells like medicinal ointment, rotting paprika and something which you forgot in the back of the fridge. I am honestly scared of trying this. Taste is less bad but not much, ashes, medicinal ointment, rotting paprika, expired baby food, rotting eggs, oddly sweet,… High carb. in the style of an infected beer. This is easily the worst beer I have ever had so far ~ revolting. I took two little baby sips and drain-poured it.

Bottle that I picked up somewhere in Belgium, I guess it was Dranken Geers, Loz has just agreed it was there. Consumed at home 06.08.13 This exploded out of the bottle, went in ne hair then like a lava flow continued to ooze out at a fair rate of knots all over the floor. When I eventually cleaned up the floor I noted it had poured a murky reddy brown, the nose was unusual bit like a creamy chilli yoghurt. Sweet with a very subtle hit of chilli, but aside from a cloying sweetness little else. I got a little bored and sprinkled a dried v.hot red chilli into it, whilst it didnt turn exactly turn a Lada into a Lamborgini it assisted in covering up a good many flaws in this beer and turned it into the novelty beer that it would have been better off as on the first place. Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus and Thompson. Gusher! Hazy murky orange-reddish-brown color, huge but quickly diminishing beige to light brown head. Smell is awful. Absolutely disgusting mix of herbs, spices, Chinese food. Taste pepper, herbs, spices, herbs, spices, herbs and spices and Chinese food. Wtf...
