Our first dark beer is bold and flavorful, yet smooth and crisp in the classic Sapporo fashion. Sapporo Premium Black is crafted with roasted dark malts and a refined hop bitterness that is complemented by a sweet, round fullness and distinct coffee and chocolate flavors.
Sapporo Premium Black is well-suited for pairing with a variety of hearty and spicy dishes from around the world, including traditional German, Asian, Cajun and Latin cuisines and crème brûlée. Or it can stand on its own for those who appreciate a bold, robust-flavored beer.

50cl can as Sapporo premium black 5% brewed in vietnam Bought from my local kiosk. pours brown with a light brown head. slightly almost metallic aroma, dark caramel, syrup, faint rye, faint roasted malts flavor is roasted malts, bitter nuts, smoked malts, bitter caramel, rye like sugary note, interesting nontraditional flavor - quite a lot of flavor for a 5% beer. not entirely to my liking - too herbal and caramelly bitter - but not boring and not cloying. not just named dark and look dark, there is some flavor to back up the dark color.

Great with braised pork belly! Light lager mouthfeel with solid caramel light roast malt sweetness. It gets weird when it's no longer refreshingly cold though.

650ml can from Aldi, made in Vietnam, 5% ABV. Dark brown with a good inch of beige head. Aroma of mild roast, mocha, light spices. 6+ Not very sweet and fairly gently flavoured, but with a distinct roasted note and lightly spiced bitterness that lingers. Definitely have this again - a rare Aldi surprise packet.

Tap at a Kuala Lumpur Japanese restaurant. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy off white head. The aroma is roasty malt toffee caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a biscuit, dough, sweet caramel palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

650ml can as Sapporo Premium Black from Share House in Moscow. Importer’s label says “Made in Vietnam”, but if you peel it away underneath you find “Product of Canada” written on the can. Wtf? Pours clear dark brown with a thin beige head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, slightly roasty. Taste is medium sweet, chocolate, dark malt, caramel. Good but overpriced.

Light chocolate aromas with some faint roasty notes. Smooth on the palate with some light plum S it warms. Lingering cocoa powder.
