500ml waxed bottle, no dating that I could find. The main reason I acquired this was for the Hazelnuts.
Pours black with an inch of tan foam, lacing is good.
Taking some whiffs in and I am in Hazelnut heaven. Me=big fan of Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar and Nutella so it's only natural.
It's also loaded with chocolate and has delightful notes of roasted malt.
Taste doesn't disappoint. Hazelnut flavours are like biting into the wafers without the crunch. Milk chocolate is kinda sweet but doesn't make the beer sweet. Roasted malt and some vanilla, yeah, that's what I am talking aboot. The ample abv is hidden pretty well, at least in the opening 4 sips or so.
Fullish mouthfeel, smooth as silk, every sip tastes better than the last...my kind of high abv Milk Stout. So very enjoyable!

Bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Pours a thick and viscous deep brown with a finger of quickly dissipating head. Oxidized malt, cardboard, nutella and chocolate aromas. Chalky chocolate texture, stale malt notes. Thick on the palate. Quick finish. Ovaltine notes. Not pleasant. --- Beer merged from original tick of Moo-Tella Chocolate Hazelnut Imperial Stout on 13 Jan 2019 at 10:39 - Score: 5. Original review text: Oxidized :(

500 ml bottle into snifter, 2017 vintage bottling. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, hazelnuts, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, marshmallow, fudge, cake batter, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of toffee, herbal, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, hazelnuts, chocolate, and lactose notes; with solid strength. Taste of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, hazelnuts, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, marshmallow, fudge, cake batter, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of toffee, herbal, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal/roast bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, hazelnuts, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, marshmallow, fudge, cake batter, dark/brown bread, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, hazelnuts, chocolate, and lactose flavors; with a nice hop/roast bitter/sweet finish, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/roast bitterness. Light-medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 8.5%. Overall this is a very nice imperial milk stout. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, hazelnuts, chocolate, and lactose flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. Very well balanced all around. Nice richness with good presence of the hazelnuts/chocolate, and a spot on base imperial milk stout malt profile. At 8.5%, I wasn't expecting a thick beer. It does well at the ABV. Maybe a bit thin, but nothing to complain about. A very enjoyable offering.

Not bad, heavy on the milk stout sweetness with an unmistakable Nutella core, rich and chocolatey but a tad cloy as the pint warms. Milk chocolate transitions to dark bakers chocolate, all backed by hazelnut, dark fruit, anise, and subtle espresso notes. Finishes bittersweet—more on the sweet side—with a clingy cocoa fade. Pours an unexciting brownish black with a thin beige head and no lacing. Creamy feel shows no sign of the alcohol. Nose is the best part, like peeling the seal back on a fresh jar of Nutella. Good, not great.

Raisin, hazelnut, cocoa, and pencil shavings nose. Black, thin tan head. Chocolate syrup, raisin, plum, only subtle hazelnut notes. Medium body, easy carbonation. Rich and tasty imperial stout. If you're expecting liquid nutella, you will be disappointed. Surprising prominence of dark fruit.
